Diamond eyes, I just couldn’t seem to find
but to run away means never having to hide
will they come and will they follow
or will they stay and fail to thrive

It’s funny enough
that yesterday is gone,
because the past is the past
and today was tomorrow
so you can cut ties and relax
but, oddly enough
there is an end to this line
and sadly enough,
we’re all running out of time
oh the days of our lives
lost but never forgotten
for when it is time to go
accept this life,
was just time borrowed
at least it was funny enough

as we let the acrimony consume us all
and follow me into the flames
in preparation for this life to fade
we’ll wade through the river styx,
and yet the deity is out of mind
we can float on burnt crucifix,
false hopes and dreams,
they will burn as well
but happily passing with a smile
the time will come,
and we’ll love this hell
