I

I’ve floated here for far too long
gazing upon many other pools
but here I remain
Hands like raisins
that make me believe I have better grip.
Until a sweeping view inside of my head
reminds me again
It’s just figment after figment.
Anything but.
Not just going to bed,
But falling to sleep.
With the others who talk fast
and think slow.
And soon enough
Lungs like fishbowls.

strange.

so very strange
no one knows why
the world spins, the rain falls
no one knows why
but the time moves on
no contrition for the gone lost
nor the ones without their heads
it just keeps moving on
ever thought about yesterday
where it went, who could say?
yesterday was ten years ago
or at least we can try and believe so
what about tomorrow and the day before that
travel there but always forget how to get back
so very strange

Enough

It’s funny enough
that yesterday is gone,
because the past is the past
and today was tomorrow
so you can cut ties and relax
but, oddly enough
there is an end to this line
and sadly enough,
we’re all running out of time
oh the days of our lives
lost but never forgotten
for when it is time to go
accept this life,
was just time borrowed
at least it was funny enough

wade.

engulf yourself in alcohol,
as we let the acrimony consume us all
and follow me into the flames
in preparation for this life to fade
we’ll wade through the river styx,
and yet the deity is out of mind
we can float on burnt crucifix,
false hopes and dreams,
they will burn as well
but happily passing with a smile
the time will come,
and we’ll love this hell

Inevitable Hypocrisy

The blissful innocence of youth is something that most people took for granted growing up. I believe every person on this planet shares the same regret of rushing through childhood, no matter how their life ended up. Adolescence, for most, is a time lacking responsibilities, and it is most certainly a time of experimentation. I mean, I don’t know about some of you but for myself and many others I can assume that we all might as well have had lab kits or full on laboratories.

Hell, there was a kid who was smoking pot in grammar school. We were in the fourth grade, so, we were seven or eight years old, I’m sorry I don’t know the exact age, but yeah, fucked. It’s a funny thing though, last I heard someone was experimenting on that kids asshole in a cell. I was actually really happy to hear he was doing so well, you gotta shoot for the stars ya know, but anyway, the point is many kids try to enter the portal to the realm of adulthood, with no concern for the fact that it is nothing like anything anyone thinks it to be.

I mean really, what is so great about being an adult, legally being able to drink or drive? Continue reading “Inevitable Hypocrisy”
